trans-terrific:

[Image Description: A chart showing when to use “they” for a singular person. The first question is, “Are “they” pronouns the person’s preferred pronouns?” Answering “no” leads to, “ok then don’t use ‘they’”; “yes” leads to, “Do you think ‘they’ is grammatically correct?” Answering “yes” to this question leads to, “use ‘they’”; answering “no” leads to, “Are you a giant douche bag?”. Answering “no” to this leads to, “good so use ‘they’ anyway’”; answering “yes” leads to, “then shut your douche mouth and go away before you misgender someone”. End description.]
This goes for any other “grammatically-incorrect” pronoun set (hu, per, ze, ve, Spivak, etc.); only douche bags privilege ~correct grammar~ over respecting someone’s identifiers.

killin’ it planned parenthood

Planned Parenthood, I love you so much for this. You have no idea.

Dear anyone who says it’s too complicated to account for non-binary genders in official capacities: LOOK, IT’S THIS FUCKING SIMPLE. Just let people write the damn things in.

I’m gonna reblog this whenever I see it.

thank fucking god

Wow, I wonder what affiliate has this! I haven’t ever seen it.

Fucking love that they aren’t asking what your gender or sex is, just how you identify. About damn time. Way to set an example PP.

I don’t know how many branches of Planned Parenthood have this option but regardless, a promising indication towards being able to self-identify one’s gender on forms!

Gender neutral pronouns, because it’s not always absolutely crucial to existence to continuously refer to one’s assigned gender or genitalia configuration.

After CoGA put on a really excellent workshop with the staff of the Mount Holyoke Office of Residential Life, they included preferred name and pronouns on the roommate survey for incoming students. This information will go on the roster for hall staff (Community Advisers and Senior Community Advisers), so that door tags will be made out to the appropriate name, and student staff can appropriately address incoming students. Looking forward to working with them again for fall training! If you are on or around campus in late August and would like to be a part of this training session, please shoot us a message here or at cogamhc@gmail.com.
What would you like the Res Life student staff in your hall to know about gender identity?
